The Frazier High School Student Government is holding a scholarship 5k Color Run/Walk on
Saturday, May 19, 2018 @ 9am in Perryopolis.
This scholarship is dedicated to students in our district that have triumphed over some sort of difficulty. So many of our students have had to overcome obstacles in their short lives and have come out on top. They have succeeded in spite or, rather than because of their situations. Some have battled illness or have had tragedies in their home lives. We feel that those students should be honored with a scholarship to help provide them with the better, brighter future they deserve.
Our goal is to raise $1000 for this scholarship to be awarded to the student who writes an essay about their triumphs in the face of adversity and scores the highest based off of a rubric.
This 5k will be a “color” walk/run which means that racers will be asked to wear mostly white and at each kilometer marker there will be color stations that contestants will pass through and be doused with a food-grade, non-toxic, biodegradable colored corn starch. At the end of the race they will have gone through 5 different color stations and be multi-colored from head to toe.
The Post-Race Celebration and annual color toss will take place at the football field. All will be welcome!
